tick, tick… BOOM!
In this autobiographical musical, Jonathan Larson is only a week or so away from his 30th birthday and is beginning to feel the pressure from his girlfried, best friend, and life. He is creating a musical hoping it would become a smash hit on Broadway or even off-broadway. Many of his friends are plagued by the gut-wrenching disease, AIDS, that is taking lives all across the world. Jon is on the quest for the answer to an age-old question, “What are we meant to do with the time we have? ” I loved this movie because its authencity in how people in their late 20s start feeling. The music, performances, and passion have me in awe throughout the film.
If you are not into musicals, I would give this one a try. The music goes excellently with the film. Exceptionally done.
